. ![]() A few years ago we were asked to assist in the planning of an International Conference at Brock University called “Bacchus”. The conference put together by CCOVI at Brock was attended by vintners, oenologists and wine lovers from around the world. Hospitality on Hand's task was to assemble the culinary side of the three day program, primarily a Winemakers' Dinner Series and the Closing Gala. The Gala became Party as we decided to close the event in a vineyard with great chefs, great food, great wines and rock and roll music. This unique idea had legs. Find a talented group of chefs, winemakers or hospitality experts, form a band and offer an unbelievable catering and entertainment services. And so this band of culinarians known as “Chefs without Hats” were born. From the opening show at Bacchus, to LCBO conferences, to The Niagara Wine Festival, and, most recently, the Winterfest Celebration during this year's Icewine Festival, the band has been incredibly well received. Great Food and Great Music should go together. Here it is. “Chefs without Hats” coming from the kitchen to a stage near you. |
